CBL6 – Mobile Single-Column Lift for Forklifts up to 6,000 kg
CBL6 – Mobile Single-Column Lift for Forklifts up to 6,000 kg
CBL6 is a mobile single-column lift for forklifts up to 6,000 kg, developed for safe and ergonomic servicing of counterbalance forklifts in professional workshop environments. Forklift service operations often involve limited access, high space requirements or the need for fixed installations. With CBL6, forklifts can instead be lifted in a controlled and stable manner without anchoring the lift to the floor.
CBL6 combines high lifting capacity with mobility and a compact design, making it suitable for workshops where flexibility and efficient use of floor space are essential.
What is the CBL6 – mobile single-column lift for forklifts?
CBL6 is a mobile single-column lift designed for service and maintenance of counterbalance forklifts with a total weight of up to 6,000 kg. The lift handles both electric and LPG/diesel forklifts and therefore covers a wide range of forklift models used in workshops and logistics operations.
The freestanding design means that CBL6 does not require permanent installation. When not in use, the lift can easily be moved to another location within the workshop.
Applications for the CBL6
CBL6 is primarily used for service and maintenance of counterbalance forklifts where high lifting capacity and good access are required. Typical applications include:
-
Forklift service workshops
-
Logistics centres and warehouses
-
Industrial facilities with in-house forklift service
In certain cases, CBL6 can also be used for lifting reach trucks, depending on the truck’s design and dimensions. Compatibility should always be verified prior to use.
For servicing stackers and lighter internal transport vehicles up to 2,500 kg, DSS2 – Lifts for Stackers and Pallet Trucks is used instead.
For heavier applications up to 3,600 kg, DSS3 – Lift for Pallet Trucks and Stackers is available as an alternative.
Lifting principle and operation
During operation, the forklift is driven onto the lift ramp and positioned in the lift. At the push of a button, the forklift is raised to the desired working height. The lifting and lowering movement is controlled and adapted for service work, allowing precise positioning.
CBL6 reaches a maximum lifting height of approximately 1,800 mm and can lift the forklift to full working height in around one minute, contributing to efficient service workflows.
Ergonomics and access during forklift service
CBL6 is designed to improve the working environment during forklift service operations. By lifting the forklift to the correct working height, the need for work in low or physically demanding positions is significantly reduced.
With three sides free and all wheels lifted, the lift provides good access to the forklift’s motor, batteries, brakes and wheel suspension. This facilitates service work and reduces physical strain on technicians.
Design and mechanical construction
CBL6 is designed for high operational reliability and long service life in demanding workshop environments. The lifting system is based on a self-locking, non-reversing trapezoidal lifting screw with a safety nut. This design keeps the load securely in position without the need for additional mechanical locking devices.
The drive system consists of an enclosed gearbox with brake motor, which prevents unintentional lowering of the load and ensures stable operation both during lifting and under static load.
Safety functions in the CBL6
CBL6 incorporates several integrated safety functions to protect both the operator and the equipment:
-
Self-locking, non-reversing lifting screw with safety nut
-
Enclosed gearbox with brake motor
-
Easily accessible emergency stop
-
Safety limit switches for monitoring nut wear
-
Safety functions for obstacle detection during lowering
The self-locking design allows service work to begin immediately after lifting without additional securing measures.
Installation, mobility and operating environment
CBL6 does not require permanent installation and is not bolted to the floor. The lift is placed on a level and load-bearing surface and connected to a three-phase power supply (3 × 400 V, 16 A).
The mobile design allows the lift to be moved within the workshop when required, providing high flexibility in dynamic working environments.
CE marking and technical data
CBL6 is CE certified in accordance with SS-EN 1493:2022, the standard for vehicle lifts, confirming compliance with applicable safety and functional requirements.
