Jack stands with gas springs delivered to Alstom in Hungary
Dendro Lift has delivered eight customized heavy-duty jack stands with integrated gas springs to Alstom in Hungary. The delivery includes robust jack stands for heavy loads, designed for safe support and maintenance of industrial vehicles and equipment.
This delivery will also be shipped from our new production facility. This means that we can now increase our production volume while at the same time reducing our lead times. With the expanded capacity, we achieve improved production flow and greater flexibility in customer-specific projects.
Dendro Lift jack stands are designed for loads up to 100 tons and manufactured in accordance with Swedish and European regulations, including SS-EN 1494+A1:2008. All units are CE marked and comply with applicable authority requirements .
Gas Springs for Balanced and Controlled Height Adjustment
The delivered jack stands are equipped with gas springs to counterbalance the weight of the center column. The gas spring is dimensioned to offset a significant portion of the column mass, allowing height adjustment using manual force only.
This design provides:
- Reduced manual force during adjustment
- Improved ergonomics
- Controlled vertical movement
- Reduced risk of uncontrolled lowering
The gas spring does not carry the operational load. The load-bearing function remains in the steel structure and locking system, designed according to defined safety factors.
Dendro Lift is currently the only manufacturer using this type of integrated gas spring mechanism in heavy duty industrial jack stands.
Structural Safety and Performance
The jack stands are engineered with:
- Safety factor 1.6 without permanent deformation
- Safety factor 3 without structural failure
- Resistance to 3 × rated load at 10° inclination
- Defined maximum floor load
These parameters ensure safe and predictable performance in demanding industrial environments.
